Alan Alexander Milne was the full name of A.A. Milne. He was born in London on 18 January 1882 and died on 31 January 1956. He is best known for the creation of the childish character Winnie-the-Pooh, based on the tales he told his son. He only wrote a crime novel, The Red House Mystery.
