Review of Into the Water – Paula Hawkins
It’s not a thriller. The story’s entertaining, that’s all. Sometimes it feels a bit too long. And halfway through, more or less, one realizes who’s responsible for the drowning of two of the women.
The characters, except for Sergeant Erin Morgan, are all crazy. It may not seem like it, but they’re not as they seem. And when I say all of them, I mean it. They’re all insane.
The background of story is very ordinary. I can’t say anything without spoiling the whole plot. Only that Libby’s story, which is supposed to give us some background, is unnecessary, in my view. And it’s too long for what little it contributes.
The end is in the style of “…and they lived happily ever after.”
To pass the time (a long time).
