Synopsis of Long Lost

Myron is summoned to Paris at the behest of an old lover, Terese. She is in unspecified trouble and needs his help.

When he gets there, he discovers that her husband has been murdered and she is the main suspect.

The interesting thing is that more than one blood-type has been discovered at the scene – and the other blood can only be attributed to his daughter. But she died 10 years before.

As Myron and Terese try to find out exactly what’s going on, they uncover more and more questions. Did the daughter really die? Did Terese’s husband have a further child with someone else?

But when the truth is something no one expected…

Synopsis of Long Lost taken from the book

Long Lost by Harlan Coben review

It’s the most recent novel in the series starring Myron Bolitar. He always gets into trouble with the authorities and this time it’s right at the beginning of the book. As it’s better for him to disappear for a few days, he goes to Paris in response to a call for help from an old lover, a suspect in the death of her ex-husband.

As usual, he has the help of his friend Win, a very posh bazillionaire, but a madman who has no qualms when it comes to fighting or killing (always the bad guys, of course) and to help his friend Myron when he gets into real trouble.

On this occasion, helping Teresa, his ex-lover, involves not only a simple murder, but the story gets complicated by terrorism, embryos, stem cells, and a series of other things.

Despite the complication, the plot is well developed, you don’t get lost, and on several occasions, when you think you know how everything is going to end, there’s a new piece of information that makes the story take a turn, so the suspense holds until the end.

It’s entertaining and keeps your interest.
