Synopsis of Too Many Clients
A man named Tom Yeager, who introduces himself as president of an important chemical company, goes to hire the services of Nero Wolfe.
He wants Wolfe to find out who will follow him the next day from his home.
Archie Goodwin, Wolfe’s assistant, goes to the address left by the client, but he does not appear. In the vicinity of the house, the police discover the body of what turns out to be the real Yeager.
Upon discovering that the house actually belonged to Yeager, but that he did not live there, Archie makes the doormen talk and thus finds out about the existence of a room in which the deceased cited women.
Yeager’s widow hires Wolfe to investigate the death of her husband.
