Murder is Corny

Nero Wolfe demands top-quality sweet corn for his kitchen. Therefore, Susan McLeod’s family farm supplies the product to both Wolfe’s brownstone and Rusterman’s Restaurant.

However, Kenneth Faber, the corn delivery man and Susan’s suitor, is found beaten to death at the restaurant’s loading bay. Furthermore, Susan lies to the police to protect herself. She claims she had arranged a meeting with Archie Goodwin at the crime scene.

Consequently, Inspector Cramer arrests Archie as a primary material witness. As a result, Nero Wolfe must set aside his anger over a substandard corn shipment. The brilliant detective needs to step in fast to expose the real killer and save his assistant from a murder charge.
